This song makes me think of a lost David Lynch project. A mash-up, of blues, post-punk, and scientist rock, probing the lower regions.

about

Starting point. News of her possible demise near Ludlow, Ca. My family history and route 66. The ghost of my great grand uncle Harry "Indian" Miller presides. Dead roads lead to a dead town, a dead railroad. Dead mines lay, passive, sinister, gaping. An invitation to death. If there was foul play, I imagine redemption for her. That quaint American custom of redemption and regeneration through violence. Or perhaps the dead rise from forgotten graves and drag the men down into the mines to meet there fate in the deep.

lyrics

You've a plan to crush some dreams. You could crush them till they burst at the seams. There they go one dead and another suicide. Here they come if they, all abide. You could be a left hand man. Do you want to be my? If you ever plan to haunt some dreams. You could haunt them till they, till they scream. Here they go running in fright. Here they come, like the dark in the night. Do you want to be my hero. My hero? It whined through your open mind like a slicing knife. Young girls you buried in a desert mine. You can see there faces. You can never get away. Just when you think it's ok, someone starts screaming, murderer! Murderer! If you ever plan to fall down those stairs, they could curse you till you run out of air. Here you come, killer. There you go, wham. The electric chair. fry's you so tasty. Do you good. Here you go. There you are. Killer. Killer. Murderer!
